Practical Experience For Future Divers
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program allows those who have never tried it to safely experience the same sense of wonder and excitement shared every day by scuba divers throughout the world. Under the careful supervision of a PADI Instructor, participants actually go on a scuba dive in shallow, calm water. You can try scuba close to home or while you’re on vacation at a dive destination. While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.
What Will You Do ?
Learn basic diving theory and how the equipment works with an instructor led presentation, experience what the equipment feels like and participate in a shallow water dive, find out what it’s like to breath underwater and learn some basic underwater skills including removing, replacing and clearing your regulator, clearing water from your mask and neutral buoyancy. Finally take those skills and dive in Carlisle Bay, a marine park with shipwrecks.
What’s Included ?
The PADI Discover SCUBA Diving experience programme is $125 per person, including instructor lead presentations and all the gear needed. Transportation between your hotel and our shop can be arranged.
How long will it take ?
The Discover SCUBA Diving experience programmes usually run over a 2 – 3 hour session. A typical programme would run over one evening from 12:00pm – 2.30pm.
What comes next ?
Once you have completed your PADI Discover SCUBA Diving programme you’ll want to continue and expand on your diving experience with an entry-level qualification.
The next step is the PADI Open Water Diver course that certifies you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres and is an internationally recognised qualification. This qualification will open up unlimited amounts of diving opportunities.
